Lauren Book deepfake extortion

AP reports that Florida lawmaker Lauren Book has been subjected to an extortion attempt using nude deepfake photos. Faked graphic images of her and her husband have also been circulating online.
South Florida teenager Jeremy Kampervee allegedly attempted to extort Book by demanding USD 5,000 in exchange for not releasing sexually explicit photographs of her. The photos featured 'female genitalia and the portrayal of a sexual act'.
Kampervee has been charged with extortion and cyberstalking.
