TikTok beheading video splicing

Footage of a girl dancing spliced with a highly graphic and disturbing video of a person being beheaded by a group of men in a bathroom has gone viral on TikTok.
The incident demonstrates the limitations of the company's content moderation system, which proved unable to detect and block the video before it spread across its platform.
TikTok has removed the offending item. Nonetheless, Newsweek and other media outlets report TikTok users saying they are too scared to use the app lest they see the beheading.
