Local news station KPIX reports that Waymo self-driving cars are plaguing people living in a quiet cul-de-sac in San Francisco.

Residents complain that up to 50 cars a day make their way down the street, only to have to turn around, resulting in more traffic and noise pollution.

In response, Waymo says the vehicles are simply 'obeying road rules' designed to limit traffic in certain residential streets.

Waymo is a subsidiary of Alphabet, Google's parent company.
