Wendy's voice recognition
US burger chain Wendy's has announced that it intends to use data analytics and voice recognition to accelerate drive-through orders and home deliveries.
The company announced it is partnering with Google Cloud to build computer vision and voice recognition systems, mapping apps, and other tools.
These systems will help Wendy's understand and predict customer habits. They may also be used to identify customers and personalise orders, and to replace its human workforce.
McDonalds was recently sued for using a voice recognition system to identify repeat customers at sites across Chicago without their consent.
