An AI-powered spoof robocall falsely depicted President Joe Biden discouraging participation in the USโ New Hampshire primary and urging voters โsaveโ their vote for the November 2024 US Presidential Election.
A multistate investigation later revealed that the robocall had been commissioned by Steve Kramer, a Texas-based political consultant working for rival candidate Dean Philips. Kramer claimed the robocall was an act of civil disobedience calling attention to the dangers of AI in politics.

โ March 2024. The League of Woman Voters sued Steve Kramer on behalf of three impacted US voters.
โ May 2024. Steve Kramer was indicted and fined USD 6 million by the US Federal Communications Commission.ย
