However, RT failed to inform viewers that the figures were AI-generated during broadcasts, particularly for sensitive topics, according to the Information Epidemiology Lab, leading to concerns about transparency and the ethical implications of using AI in journalism without proper disclosure.

The use of AI in journalism is part of a broader trend where media companies employ AI to cut costs and increase efficiency. However, the practice has raised issues about the quality and authenticity of news, and about actual and potential job losses for human journalists.
